Right now, until the end of the month, DAZ has a sale on the Right Hemisphere Entertainment Bundle. (Deep Exploration 5, Deep Paint and Deep UV.) I didn't get Deep Exploration with Enliven, but I also notice that Deep Exploration 5 doesn't list VET as an output format.

Would it be of benefit for me to purchase the Entertainment bundle, in terms of using DE 5 with Enliven? (The other benefit is obviously using the other software in the package.) Is there a plug-in for DE 5 to use it with Enliven? (Is VET in there and I just missed it on the list?)

It's my understanding that the current version of Enliven supports DE only up to v 3.5. Don't know if the much-anticipated new version of Enliven will support v 5 or not.

Actually the problem is the other way around. It isn't does Enliven supports DE 5, the question is does DE 5 support Enliven.

And it has been posted that the next version of Enliven will have DE 5, in that bundle.

When is there finally going to be an upgrade???

This package is really fantastic, Deep Exploration, Deep Paint, and Deep UV for $256.00.

I bought it immediately! When I discovered I couldn't get a cd-burn for it, I came to a screeching halt. DE is now a whopping 100Mb. Why? RH has added their CAD/CAM package to it, which has to be downloaded. No box version! I cancelled the sale immediately.

When CL was building Pro-V, which is now Enliven, RH was developing VMI, a direct Viewpoint export plug-in. It was selling for $500. VMI is one of their CAD/CAM plug-ins, but probably going by a different name. You would have to check
with RH.

Another point to consider! The CAD/CAM package has to be registered separately. It isn't going to be cheap.

Bottom line, If I had the broad band connection and the money. I would be using it already.
