I want to trigger a sound file from a MetaStream animation. Is it possible? Would this be embedded in the MTS file with the textures or is it streamed too?

Sound is possible from an animator. It is currently limited to .WAV and more recently introduced .MP3 files.
There's examples of both formats being used here:
