I need to be able to find the version of viewpoint, preferably in the registry...any place in the registry that i can find if viewpoint is installed and if so can get the version number?

The best way to get the version number of the VMP you currently have installed is to run any VET scene in a browser. Then cntrl-alt-shift left click anywhere in the VMP window. When you do this, a VMP info box will pop up.
