Hello, VMP still doesn't run on Opera 9, when do you plan to support this browser?
Thank you for reply.

Hello,

We have no plan to support Opera 9 at this point in time, but if demand changes, we will certainly consider it.

Regards

OK, but Opera 9 is quite popular browser so don't you think it should be planned?
Thanks

Hello,

We appreciate your input. However, as you see in these latest spreads, Opera currently has the lowest penetration out of any browser next to Mozilla. Though we make every effort to keep our browser support matrix as pervasive as possible, we hope you understand we must prioritize according to levels of urgency. Opera support does not take as much urgency as maintaining our other efforts at the moment such as Mac OSX support (firefox and Safari), and all windows all browsers support (especially Vista -- this took some hard work! Wink ). Currently we are in the middle of two very intesive undertakings:

- Full Flash9 support in the VMP (including AS 2.0 and AS 3.0)
- A new platform that will now allow our developers to build standalone desktop applications using the VMP.

We hope you continue to support and enjoy the VMP platform!

Regards

Thank you Admin for very comprehensive answer, I think 1.5% of Opera 9 penetration is not as small as it seems to be but I really understand your (Viewpoint) priorities and think I will be able to live withou it.
Interesting info about Flash 9 and it's scripting support and platform for building standalone applications, I will very appreciate this!

Have a nice day and thanks for your excellent technology!
