I updated the plug-in to VMP 3.0.8 and I have problems...
1.- I can't enjoy the HyperView feature
2.- Netscape 4.7 crash when I try see any VET content.
I tested with Windows 98 second edition, IExplorer 5.5, Netscape 4.7.
Hardware: Soyo 7VBA+133, 128Mb (Ram), Celeron 700Mhz, Video: Riva TNT2 N64 (32mb)
In the Beta phase I installed the VMP 3.0.8 and I didn't have this problems.

I had the same problem, I had to use the Viewpoint control panel to uninstall the 3.0.7 player, and then install the new 3.0.8 player.

Another rather unpleasant anomoly I've discovered is when a Viewpoint object is composited over a dark background a discoloration occurs in a rectangular shape around the Viewpoint object, here are two examples of this,

one I did:

one I didn't do:
http://museum.umic.ueda.nagano.jp/hakubutsukan/kachu/kachu.html

so I'm sure it's not something I've done to cause this.

Hi Favio,

Can you give more detail regarding the HyperView problem?

Are you trying to create a HyperView scene yourself and having problems? If you've created a scene that doesn't hyperview you may want to send a ZIP file to qa-support@viewpoint.com and someone can take a look at it for you.

Or are you trying to simply view one of the Viewpoint HyperView scenes or viewing a hyperview scene you made earlier that worked and observing that it isn't switching modes?

You mention that with the 308 beta you had no problems, can you tell us which version of the 308 beta you last used successfully? And was it with the hyperview scene and also with Netscape 4.7?

If you have any other problems, or want to explain more about this one, an email to builds@viewpoint.com would be appreciated. The configuration you put in the message here is great, it's just the other details that are missing - i.e. more info about the scene(s) you were looking at.

Thanks,
-Derek

Hi derek
I resolve the problem, uninstalling the VMP with the Control Panel and re-installing with version 3.0.8

Now is working fine with IExplorer and Netscape BUT in the Durango Demo, when I saw at first time i saw a watermark (www.viewpoint.com) AND in the Kodak HyperZoom demo always appears the watermark (http://www.viewpoint.com/developerzone/techdemos/camera/index.html)
Is necessary an especial broadcastkey???

I had problem when I made an updated from 3.0.7 to 3.0.8
With the IExplorer i didn't can view a HyperView feature (especifically the Durango Demo and the Kodak Camera HyperZoom)
and the Netscape crash when i try to view any VET content.

Regards..

Favio
