We are trying to determine the most effortless manner to install the player for users when they enter a site, similar to what Macromedia does by pointing the EMBEDDED content to a CAB file... any idea how. I have heard of "minimal install" however I have no information about that mode and it sounds as if the user still has to interact we wanted to preload the player as the user enters a particular URL...
THANKS

The minimal intsall is the install that happens when a user visits a site with Viewpoint content. If there are special components needed for the content, they will be automatically installed also. I suggest you use the HTML Embed Contructor Line Generator found here.

...then, for example, if your content is only using 3D (and not zoomview), you can specify only to install the 3D components.

All of this is documented (rather heavily) in the following document:

http://developer.viewpoint.com/developerzone/docs/testing_deploying_content.pdf

Let me know if you have any further questions.
