I have a few questions regarding Viewpoint products with AIM that I would like to ask. Firstly, why is VMP bundled with AIM? What use does it have for AIM? Secondly, why is the user not told about VMP when installing AIM? Shouldn't there be an opt-out option in the AIM installer? Thirdly, why is the button to not update VMP/Viewpoint Toolbar hidden in the update box? Why is it not on the front of the box next to the "Update" button? And lastly, why was it that VMP would come back when you uninstalled it? I have not noticed it doing that now.

The Viewpoint Media Player is the basis for many of the cutting edge graphics and applications one uses today on the web. If you’ve ever looked at a 3D car model, a virtual room, a 3D server, or any of the other interactive content we’ve created for our clients, then you’ve needed the Viewpoint Media Player. We’re an integral part of the AOL operating system enabling AOL users to choose desktop themes and 3D Super Buddies for their desktops and IM’s.

We software is legally bundled with AIM and are covered in AIM's EULA.

We have received many complaints regarding the No Thanks option being "hidden." We will be using a new version of our opt-in message in the very near future. One that does have an option to opt out on the first screen.

Finally, the VMP will only re-install if the user runs AOL on their system. It should not re-install on AIM unless the user uses the Super Buddy icons. We hope that this addresses all of your concerns.
