question :
i want to view a viewpoint modell from a cd-rom, but i'm not allowed to install anything on a pc. i can put a mozilla or firefox folder on the cd-rom (they run without installing). which are the files i need to get the viewpoint experience? just putting the "npViewpoint.dll" + "npViewpoint.xpt" to the plugins folder of firefox didn't work.

one last step to take :

installed mozilla 1.1 , installed the viewpoint plugin for netscape. transferred the files to mozilla. then i put everything on cd-rom.

but a registry validation prevents that the application runs entirely from cd-rom.

this registry is :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MetaStream]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MetaStream\MetaStream3]
"Component Path"="D:\Viewpoint Media Player"

is there a way to tweak a certain file, so there is no need for the registry setting ?

This is an extremely unsupported configuration. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure that using our software in this manner breaks the Viewpoint Media Player's End User License Agreement. You can see why I cannot offer support on this subject.
