This morning I came into work to process some sounds for the Talknow Converter, and once i had my MTS files, I fired up the Talknow Tester page in IE6.0 I played one sound and that worked fine, then I moved on to my next sound and the player crashed. IE still seemed to be working but the "play" button object had disappeared, and it refused to load or play any sounds as a result.

I closed IE, and started it again, but nothing, not even the basic tester sounds like nine.mts would load, and the play button still refused to appear.

I eventually just uninstalled and re-installed the media plyer, and it still will not load the tester page. I can see the demo objects in the installer windows. I can see the examples such as the sony laptop, etc etc., but i get no sounds, and the tester page refuses to load any sounds, even those that come with the zip file.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also discovering now that it doesn't work on Netscape 7.1 either. Again, this is just the tester page that appears to be broken, the talkpoint applications on the website appear to be fine. Unless there is supposed to be sound, in which case it is not playing.

Hi
You might need to upgrade your broadcastkey. The use of Talknow in vmp 3.0.15 requires a modified broadcastkey for the sound to play.
The same hold true for the new Scene capture saves to a remote server.

Okay last thing...I have reson to believe that a hotfix has been pushed through for Windows XP operating systems, even in the event auto-update is turned off. It appears, and I could be wrong that Microsofts implementation of Java VM has been replaced with Sun's Java VM 2. I could be wrong, but could this affect the code in the tester page which loads the filename the user enters?

I appreciate your help, but I'm not sure I follow...

I'm not broadcasting or publishing anything though.

I'm saying the tester page that comes with the Talknow converter software is broken.

All the sample content on the viewpoint page still works, but the tester page included in the download does not work. In the meantime, I have never had a broadcast key of any kind before and it always worked fine.

In the past all I've had to do to make the talknow converter work is download the talknow converter and then install the browser plug-in. I have never needed to download a broadcast key before.
