hi,
thx for the hint with the netscape 6.1 =). Now i have an older version installed, 4.6. when i try to open the file .... http://www.loesungsmittel.at/drehscheibe_linz/prefinal_presentation/hbf/drehscheibe.htm with the netscape browser, a parse error: syntax error at line 1 appears. with IE it works fine. another file http://www.loesungsmittel.at/drehscheibe_linz/prefinal_presentation/tube/tube.htm works fine. i´ve read some "parse-error" hints, in the forum, but didnt find an answer my that problem. the loaded .mtx file is here http://www.loesungsmittel.at/drehscheibe_linz/prefinal_presentation/hbf/hbf.mtx plz if anybody can help me, thx for replies ciller |

Hi Ciller,
I've tried your scene on Netscape 4.74 on Windows 2000 and on Netscape 4.61 on Windows 98 and got no problem on either. I think you might want to try clearing your Netscape cache. The caching mechanism on Netscape is a little unreliable and you may have a mix of finished files and previous versions of the files that had bugs in them. It's a constant issue while developing a webpage (using whatever technology) that when you want to view how the newly modified version looks, you should always clear Netscape's cache otherwise you're not seeing it, even though the files have changed. Well that's my experience anyway. -Derek |

seems i can answer my own question. =). it is a bit crazy, but all i did, is to create a new html from the mtx file and upload it again. now it seems to work. hmm.
the only thing, which is strange, that the "links" onclick="triggeranimation(......" dont work with Netscape. ciller |
