A friend says he gets nothing in ie, but ns starts the plugin dl but "the java doesn't work", whatever that means... from his mac laptop.

I checked your page in IE and Netscape and it gives no problems. As for Mac, perhaps you (or your friend) could post a more detailed report onto the Mac Player support forum and we can take a look at it.

the VET plugin for Mac needs to be installed "by hand" i.e. it doesn't autoload. Tell your friend to d/l the installer from Viewpoint, install it and voila ! (Works perfectly on my G4 MacOS 9.1 with IE 5.0 and NS 4.7
