Just installed FireFox 3.
Now my 3d models don't show up. They still work in IE (latest version) and previous version of FireFox... http://configurator.martinlogan.com Any ideas on why this happens? |

I just installed FF3 and everything works fine. I can see the VET content.
Please make sure you are using the latest mts3interface.js file available on the Dev Central. Hope this helps. Cheers, Anup |

Checked and all mts3interface.js files are up to date.
After studying this issue more I can see the model flash onto the screen and then it disappears. For instance if I have multiple tabs open, when I tab back to the page with the models I'll see the model there than disappear in about a quarter of a second. Also, when I scroll over one of the color chips on the page which has an associated javascript action the model will flash on and off... |

I just wanted to also report the same issue. I do have the latest mts3interface.js file. Hyperview works just fine. All my scenes contain an svg graphic but I don't know if that's the issue or not. - David |

Still the same bug In Firefox 3.
Yesterday, I don't know How, and why, but I found something in the MTS3Interface.js file, some bug, like this : "<div id='HiddenLayer' style='position:absolute;left:-1000px;top:-1000px;width:0px;height:0;z-index:0;visibility:hidden'><form name='MTS3'><input type=text name='mts3_js_jsfield'></form></div>" Line 336 the corect writing should not be : "<div id='HiddenLayer' style='position:absolute;left:-1000px;top:-1000px;width:0px;height:0px;z-index:0;display:none'><form name='MTS3'><input type=text name='mts3_js_jsfield'></form></div>" but after that changes, viewpoint working fine with Firefox, but after some changes everything broke again and let me start in the same point of you. I know that Firefox is very strict with the "PX" unit after Height, Width etc etc ... And same for visibility == display ?? I couldn't go deeper than what I could see so I don't know if the problem could have the same reasons. |

I inherited a viewpoint web application that was experiencing problems with firefox 3. The application was using the 5.00.02.13 version of the MTSInterface file. It was throwing some javascript errors so I upgraded to the latest version (5.00.02.29). I'm no longer seeing any javascript errors, but now I'm experiencing the exact problem DZell describes.
So here's my questions: 1. Is this a known bug or is it a result of upgrading from 5.00.02.13 to 5.00.02.29 naively? 2. If it is a known bug, is their a fix in the works? If anyone could shed some light on my issues or point me in a direction I'd be very grateful. Thanks |

It seems that Firefox 2.0 now tries to update itself to version 3.0. You can demonstrate this by clicking: "Help - Find Updates" in Firefox 2.0.
I am worried because this may result in a very fast movement of the Firefox user base from version 2.0 to 3.0. As users are taught to update Firefox 2.0 often by frequent updates. It seems Firefox 3.0 and Viewpoint are still not working with latest MTS3Interface. |

Its my understanding that security updates for firefox 2 will end in mid December. Hopefully someone from viewpoint will respond to this thread soon ... The issue is starting to make me nervous as the deadline approaches.

A Firefox 3.0 solution for the PC is currently under development right now. It will require a change to both the MTS3Interface as well as the VMP itself. The update will be in the next release of the VMP, but at this stage we don't a timetable for that release quite yet. We are very aware that this is an important fix and are making it a high priority.

Hi
I check the problem is because the vpm object is loaded on inside a table. I am having the same problem and try some posible solution bit no luck. The bad thing is that this problem is just happening in Firefox. Admin Do you have any solution on how to call a vmp inside a table using pixels for w/h? Thanks |

I found the mistake but can't repair it.
It's when you load the MTSPlugin script inside a table, or a div or anything else ... If you place your script in the root (just after <body> Everything is right. |
