I have made a texture map that shows up on my model in 3d studio max and when it's in deep exploration. When I make the vet and bring it into enliven the texture shows up wrong. I'm not sure whats going on

If you are seeing black bands in the texture, make sure the texture map is powers of 2 (64x32, 128x128, 256x32, 256x256, etc.)

Thanks for the qiuck reply but the issue is the texture isn't applying to the object right. Yet it shows upfine in 3d max and when I'm converting in deep exploration. I've tried 2 vesions of the texture map one at 812x812 and another at 512x512. I'll send you the files if that will help.

Hi Marvin !!

To this texture, do you have any other map like Bump or Alpha applied in MAX?

Cheers,

Anup

I'm using a multi sub object material, I have a image placed in the reflection slot but it's turned off and the other materials have maps in thier slots. Should I be working with fresh materials when exporting to enliven?

Hi Guys,

Maybe I'm missing something here, but from looking at the screenshots, I can't see what the mapping problem is when it's brought into Enliven vs. the other programs. I see that it's all red and shiny, but that's only because of diffuse color set to red and shiny reflection maps. Could you clarify what the problem is in the Enliven screenshot that I am missing?

Hey Admin !!

Do you see the black patches near the headlight? I guess Marvin should remove the reflection map before exporting from MAX.

Cheers,

Anup

I also tried exporting with all the maps on my objects clear of maps and that didn't work either.

Thanks Marvin.

Do you know if these ripples are coinciding with polygons? That would help us determine if it is a geometry issue or a texture issue.

I think it's a texture issue inside of the texutre wrapping around the object it looks like it's just being slapped on to the front of it.

Did you make sure to collapse the object to Editable Mesh before exporting it to DE/Enliven? Sorry for hitting this one question at a time, but without seeing the files for myself, it's the best we can do.
