Hi my friends,
I found a fabulous 3d interactive design which is based on Java platform. (http://www.aarkid.com/3d_gallery/applet_theatre_configurator.html) Users can load objects from list and change their position and direction on a 2d space. All the changes have direct impact on the 3d space. I want to develop a configration solution like this by viewpoint. Is it possible? Thanks |

Yes, of course this could be done through the Viewpoint Media Player embedded in an HTML document with Javascript interacting with XML (the .MTX files), 2D imagery (video, Flash, photos, etc.) and articulated 3D models, texture maps, and animations.
There would be a lot of polygons in the example you show, however there are also ways to collapse and expand objects to release memory workload. It looks like the map on the left keeps track of things in the scene...that type of exchange was tackled in an example here That is just one layer of what must be considered, but in the end. Yes. |
