First of all Thank You! Thank You!
for the new player and the removal of the broadcast keys. I have noticed that on some computers that had an older player that when the new player is loaded that it doesn’t get installed. The only fix I have found for this so far is to uninstall the player and reload it. Second I am hearing reports that may indicate that the .mts file is not streaming in from servers with Microsoft server 2003 or later Can somebody verify this and is there a workaround? |

You're welcome!
Hmm - the VMP should auto-update if a new constructor line specifying VMP build 3.3.0 is in the page, but I will look into this. About Windows 2003 Server - do you know what version of 2003 server it is(Datacenter, Web, SBS, Enterprise)? This information would be very helpful in testing this issue, so I can get on it as fast as possible. |

We are using Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. Here are the some of the specs.
OS Name: Microsoft(r)windows(r) Server 2003, Standard Edition Version: 5.2.3790 Build 3790 System: HP System Model: ProLiant DL380 G3 According to our IT department we have 3 mirrored servers. Two of which have been upgraded to windows 2003. every thing runs ok off of the win 2000 server. A coworker had viewpoint content on hosted by a company that had both windows and lynex servers. his content stoped loading also till he swith it to lynex. Could windows server 2003 be blocking a port that viewpoint streams through? |

More info:
I cleared my viewpoint cash and tried to access the 3D content. I then looked at the viewpoint Resources folder and it did not have any mtx, mtz or mts files in it. It almost seams as if the Viewpoint object is being blocked from loading. After going to another server the mtx and mts files were stored in the Resource folders. |

I found out about Windows 2003 problems. It turns out that under Windows 2003, by default IIS6.0 disallows all unknown ISAPI extensions. If you go to Allow all unknow ISAPI extentions and restart the WWW service then it works and the VET content displays.
If this does not work for you, please let me know so I can see what we can do. - Viewpoint Support |
