I'm looking for suggestions from you knowledgable people about what a good mid range piece of graphics software would be for a smallish regional station in NZ. Obviously we can't afford anything like a Deko or an Inscriber, so we're looking for something that runs standard PC hardware, and doen't require propriety hardware. We've got a nice Dual core 3.06ghz machine thats unused at the moment that would probably do the trick. Its running a decklink card at the moment, so if we didn't have to change that would be great.

I've already investigated data-videos CG-100, which is absolute rubbish, and its quite over priced considering its lack of features. I've also looked at magicsofts ultra red, which has some potential. We have some staff that can make good quality graphics, (see: ctv.co.nz, and hit news), but our current perception graphics system means that they can only be used on post-produced shows.

Any suggestions of software that may suit our needs would be much appreicated.

Thanks
