In every piece of software released there are a few bugs. The engineering team keeps a prioritized list to keep focused, to identify and squash those bugs, to make the software better...sooner.

As you have used Enliven Pro, then you may have run into something in the software that bugs you, which may not work perfectly well, something that needs to be fixed in the next update to the software.

As a Viewpoint Experience Technology developer, you are incredibly important to the future of Enliven Pro and all that surrounds it.

Tell us about the bugs you found in Enliven...make them repeatable, so that the engineering team can reveal them in the lab.

This isn't a wish list, this is a bugs list. What doesn't work correctly?

Tell us, post it here...you will be heard!
Let's get 'em fixed and plan for a better future for Enliven Pro.

OK, well I have noticed that when you add flash elements to a foreground layer and then delete them from the project assets it doesn't delete the name of the copy in the foreground layer. So when you add your updated version it increments the name example "homemenu" to "homemenu1". Not sure if this happens to other project assests or in different layers.

Every once in a while when Enliven crashes or my pc crashes, if you were in the middle of deleting large 3d objects in Enliven and then you open up a new copy of Enliven and reimport same file the IDE thinks that it is still there and pops up an annoying message. It doesn't stop the new file from importing, but it is annoying none the less.

I have noticed that you can cut and paste Actionists, Interactors, etc; from one 3D layer object to another with no problems but you can not do the same with VETScriptActions.

Have no idea if this was overlooked for some valid reason or if it was a bug

In Enliven publish tab, I have noticed that with any linked flash files, there code will not work inside the IDE. You must publish to view any changes. Not sure if this is a bug either but is rather annoying extra step.

There is the well known MTSLoadDone bug where the publish actually appends the wrong name to the mtx file.

<MTSHandle Event="MTSLoadDone:BrooksHomes" Action="ActionList_HidePreloader" />

When you delete objects from Enliven, if they have any appened animations they are left in Enliven under Animations tab. They also need to be deleted.

On rare occasion when switching back and forth between scene and director camera, then viewing content under publish tab, Enliven will forget to switch back over to scene camera.

under publish scene files dropdown... if you try and select both mtz and mtx, if pops up an error window saying "This publishing feature is not supported in this release!" I wasn't aware there were different versions. Is this a bug?

Addition to the second post, object name postfix autoincrement number was not checked/reset when an object/instance is deleted. it DOES happen with everything, material, objects and cameras.

Well know by whom, I've never heard of this? Is there another posting about this issue? Can you give us more details and if possible a set of steps to repeat the problem.

No... and I apologize. after looking into this issue it isn't that it appends the wrong name in the mtx. It is that when you want to assign a 3d object to the MTSLoadDone event, the name of the file is not available so you have to use a temproary name, any name available then publish and change the mtx code yourself to the correct instance name. The Interactor-->Incoming Message-->MTSLoadDone rollout doesn't seem to have any of the model names available.

I noticed that using bump maps don't work well only attempted this once and with the results I decided not to use bump mapping. It seemed very rough and flat compared to how it looked in 3d studio max. i can paste a image if needed.

I have not received any response for this problem formt he enliven forum.

I have repeated this a number of times.

If you create a cube, assign an interactor which pings a url with a right mouse click, it will only perform the correct function 1 time.
That is open a browser and got to a specified url. After that it refuses to work.
The only way I can get the funtion to work again is to build a new project and rebuild it from scratch. There's something wrong here with Enlive.

(FROM ADMIN: http://viewpoint.infopop.cc/eve/forums?a=tpc&f=95310912...501044772#3501044772 -- response to your question. Not a bug)

Ah,ha!

Finally happened again. Attempting to save an updated file resulted in an extremely long file path. In some instances the file path is actually created Eek, but still generates the error.

What really hurts me with enliven is the crashing and not just the crashing but having the file corrupted after the crash. I just had a file crash on me that I had worked 12hrs on yesterday and it won't start it just causes enliven to crash. This type of thing makes it impossible to work with in a tight deadline environment. I've attached the .txt file that was sent with the error message could some look at it and tell me if there's something I'm doing wrong?

Enliven took about 30 of my animations and left me with an untitled node when I reopened the project file, I have to say that bugs me. Again I've lost a few hours of work. Is the new version ever coming out, am I the only one having these issues?
