I'm using the eval copy, and as such, don't have any documentation to answer my questions.



Above I have a simple scene with a window framed by four simple user controls:

A slider to control horizontal scaling of the object (in this case a sofa)
A slider to control vertical scaling
A rollover area to click to change to color 1
A rollover area to click to change to color 2.

And, I want the stock mouse drag rotate and zoom commands available to the user as well.

Finally, I want to constrain the single object in the 3D area so that it pretty much "stays there" and doesn't wander too far into the yellow framing area containing the controls.

Pretty simple.

But, not being a Flash designer, I'm a bit at odds in using the Enliven interface to come to grips with attaching the properties to the objects and rollover areas. The Enliven marketing copy says these features are "drag and drop", but I'm certainly not finding it that easy.

I'm able to import the sofa and the 2D "frame" and the 2D slider button graphics into a scene with no problem. But, after that I run into problems.

Specifically, I tried to drag user interactions on the right side of the Enliven interface onto the 2D "slider buttons"...but nothing happens. So I'm not sure how to "open a dialog or set of menus for each slider to constrain X axis movement (side to side) and slave that to the scaling of the object".

I can't for the life of me figure out how to delineate the "hot spots" for the color changing buttons. Best I can manage to get is a dialog to assign button graphics for mouseover, click and mouse out (which I don't intend to use in this case, I want to keep things simpler, and merely set up an area on my graphic to click for the action). But I can't find any interface tools to set the dimensions of the hotspot areas over the areas I want them, or to assign any properties such as "change the color of the object (or texture of the object) to..."

Can someone help me with this, or perhaps point me to documentation that gets more into the nuts and bolts of the interface, rather than explain the "concepts" of the application?
