I'm having problems when using Alpha textures; can you advise? I notice that the MTS3 Scene Builder supports alpha textures, but also noticed that the MTS3 plugin failed to produce the alpha texture. Is this the case or are we doing something wrong? Can we count on this as a working feature?

Alpha textures are working. The alpha channels that the Scene Builder supports are opposite from the standard. The area you wish to save should be black in the alpha and the area you wish to cut should be white. Also, when publishing your file, try publishing with TrixelsNT set to "off".

There are a couple of ways of creating alpha's.

First: You could create the alpha in 3DS Max and export an .ase file. Bring the .ase file into the scene builder and the alpha should be visible and be correct.

Second: If you are not using max and want to create it in the mtx file, use the following code:







You will want to change the path to your file, and on the target you need to put the name of the texture that you want to apply the alpha to.
