I need to know the setting for Billboard planars to always be in view or in front of the avator no matter where they go. (I know how to make normal billboard planars) I'm sure I saw a setting somewhere for this. Anyone know? Smile

Knowing nothing about a subject has never stopped me from posting about it, so why change now? Big Grin I'd have thought this'd be easier to do by attaching a script within Atmosphere itself, a bit like the skycone-centred-on-avatar?

Hi Runner,

For me rather than playing with scripts it is easier to simply switch on a control in scenebuilder hehehe. Looks like Im going to have to do some experiments. I was hoping a hexpert would know it. I used to know but I have forgotten.

Good to see you have your shoes on.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and ask whats this about the sky cone centred on the avator? Smile I found out what setting I had used previous but it was for hotspots not really suitable for what I had in mind.

I'll tell you what I'm trying to create and if it sounds suitable can you point me in the right direction for that script for atmos?

I have a snow flash on a plane, I made instances of the snow plane and put them behind each other to get a nice effect, then I made them billboard planar. I want the snow always to be in front of the avators eyes. Is this possible with the script?

Crossing my fingers Smile

Shelley - this is one for the Atmo forum, I think - that's where all the cool script guys hang out LOL

I see lots of people asking for scripts there, and someone always comes up with a tweaked version of an existing script.

Only trouble is...........at the moment no-one has the full version of the new ATmosphere, so things are a bit slow.

Oh Agnes how horrible. Is there anything I can do to help? Could you email me? I'm not technically very experienced but I may be able to help you get it to boot up normally.

I'd better call it an eraser, not 'rubber' Wink

I'd guess that something has changed in your forum preferences, maybe? It's still there on my page.

Shelley did you mean where is the billboard option in viewpoint scenebuilder?

It is under tab>instances.

I have used it to create alpha flames around a an avatar that always faced you (the player).

You can also have a character face the player, Michaelcov did that in Atmo js for me some months ago.

Ah I think you mean the vp object always moves with the player? (avatar?) why not just place it in your avatar's aer?
