Hi,
I would be interested to know the Viewpoint position since Microsoft announce that they give up further development of Internet Explorer for Mac. Do you plan to build a VMP version for Safari? Do you give up Mac version as well? |

Viewpoint is aware of the transition from Internet Explorer to Safari on OS X as the default browser. We are currently planning on support for IE, although the next step is for Safari since this will be (is) the default. We've already done a lot of work to enable bi-directional scripting within IE, which does not support bidirectional scripting. We will do so with Safari, also. The problem is that an engineering solution is needed for both, and may be different.
Although we can not commit to a release date, we currently expect a release in September. This can slip due to numerous reasons, but you can be assured that the OS X plugin is in the works and in use in-house. We have several projects in our Engineering department that require resources. Please be patient. |
